Here’s problem #1: some sites & districts don’t allocate nearly enough money to send their people off to conferences or to get trainings because their people never ask AND they have to allocate where that money is gonna get spent before the new school year even gets started. By the time someone may actually ask, the money isn’t available anymore. Problem #2: educators don’t ask to go to trainings or conference because the process of getting it paid for or reimbursed is a pain in the 🍑!! There’s a few other problems but it’s HARDLY EVER that there’s legit no money to fund it. The answer may be “no money this year”—so submit that sht for next year. Put it on their map so they put the funds away for you bc they will!! There is so much value in getting additional training & exposure to what other schools have dialed in!! You’re over here living off a prayer and some social media strategies, meanwhile other educators are sharpening their craft by going and learning from the best! THAT CAN BE YOU, TOO!! Demand your school invest in you as their employee and as the educator to potentially THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of students! It’ll never be a waste. Start by asking them to fund one of my offers!
