Linux for server, Windows for end user. Linux for end user is massive pain. I never experienced crashes in the graphical environment such often as on Linux. No thank you.

The only problem is compatibility. Most games is designed to work on windows, thus Linux is falling behind on this. You can make a possibility workaround with this one with Wine, but that's not always guaranteed. So in the end it really depends on the easy version of windows, or a bit more advanced of the Linux os. As Linux isn't always easy with their packaging system.

Yeah, but no. Linux isn’t where it needs to be for gaming. If I have to use steam, I might as well use Windows. I’m not seeing any actual proof that Steam less gaming is working with the titles I play. I’m using Mint, PoP!, and Zorin and really enjoy them. But there’s too much work involved to get a game to run half assed.

Linux doesn't have a start menu. It's just a CLI OS. If you're talking about GUI distros than they're no different than windows.
