Here are three ways of getting to Jiufen from Taipei via public transportation 🚊 1. Train + Bus 🚞 (60-80 NTD) You can take a train from Taipei Main Station (TRA not HSR) to Ruifang Station and then transfer to a bus directly outside the station; take either the 788 or 1062. This entire option can take anywhere between 50-70 minutes. 2. Bus 965 🚎  (90 NTD) Taking a little over an hour, bus 965 is the quickest direct bus option from Taipei, starting from Banqiao station exit 2, and then making stops at both Ximen and Beimen MRT stations, also at their exit 2’s. Getting on from one of these stops should guarantee a seat. 3. Bus 1062 🚍 (100 NTD) From Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station right outside exit 2, the 1062 comes more frequently than the 965 but has slightly more stops making it the “slowest” option, but still gives you a higher chance of getting a seat if you get on this one. Tip💡 Get an Easy Card and top it up with at least 300 NTD for this journey. This will save you time from finding the exact change to give the operators! ‼️ If time is of concern and you’ll be going to Jiufen during rush hours or on the weekend, then I actually recommend you don’t take the bus!! Only take the bus if you’re going during non peak hours, and you care more about a seat than timeliness. If navigating public transportation sounds like too much work, then you can always hire a private transfer, or even a taxi to take you. You might be able to negotiate a taxi ride for 1000-1500 NTD 🚕  Save and send this you your friend you wanna explore Jiufen with! 🙌🏽 — #taipei #jiufen #howtogettojiufen #thingstodointaipei #taiwan #spiritedaway #jiufenspiritedaway #reallifestudioghibli #studioghibli #jiufentaiwan
