Epigenetics is not as well researched or spoken about, how certain genes get turned off or on…environmental factors or toxins that you were unaware of could have “caused” that gene to turn on or off, but obviously you have to have the predisposition in the first place…ppl don’t talk about this enough…so yea there was “nothing you did” to cause it per se, but perhaps someone else who was more knowingly consuming toxins did

My son also has a 5 P deletion. He is 13 years old now and doing great. It was a genetically passed on from his birth father who also has it. We adopted him when he was 2 years old.

Yep, people are very wrong informed about children with disability. My daughter was born with trisomy 8 and you’re right I didn’t drink I didn’t smoke. I didn’t do drugs. It’s just something that habits people just like to be very rude or social media but you need to just keep going and do what you need to do.
