Literally, not even the authors of myths -where the gods were sometimes cruel- gave him an antagonistic role. Homer always highlights him as a benevolent and helpful god, others focus more on his role as a mischievous god, but never as someone cruel (he was literally the god of kindness and peace). Only his counterpart Mercury committed some misdeeds, but since they are different deities, we can't attribute those crimes to Hermes.
