It’s just weird that not everyone has realized that the fascist dog whistle theories are the exact genre of food that has fed the extremist right. Like ofc we didnt create MAGA but we contributed to its escalation. The focus on theoretical and symbolic fascism deflects from the ACTUAL FASCISM rising while we bicker amongst ourselves. Idk I feel like videos like this are part of a different circle. Something with plausible deniability happens, and we all rush to take sides on it and be the smartest person in the argument... Then like 20 minutes later people are taking the other side. Imo, we don’t really need to argue about whether or not things are dog whistles. I think there is more to be learned from the reactions to the supposed dog-whistles. She hasn’t made a statement, she’s friends with some weirdos, and i’ve always found her approach to ‘social justice’ very one-note. I don’t want to support her for those reasons. Not that my opinion is that important.
