I taught my daughter the coat flip at about 3 and she still uses it at 6 because it’s so easy!

For the flip trick I always say "tag at your toes, hands in, and flip". and I have so many kids that lay out their jacket with the tag at their toes and then move their body to the otherside lol. I'll have to start saying upside down or something, lol.

why does every single preschooler let go of the sleeve when you say "pull it out!" I used to say "don't let go" and changed because I thought "let go" was the last thing they heard so they thought they were following directions now I say "hold on tight and pull it out!" (with a demonstration) and still they let go of the sleeve and just take their arm out!! LOL!

I teach my kiddos how to put their coats on like that as well. I do 3’s so we don’t always get to zipping but they can ALL put on their coats by Spring 🤓

Yes! When I taught…. We worked hard on coating, hats, and gloves. I took them outside all winter. If the ground was snow covered or wet, we’d take a nice walk on the side sidewalks. Get those kids outside!!!!!

as canadain...have them put gloves or mitts on before the jacket (this will help them from falling off as they play in snow ) yes u might be helping with zip ups with the thick gloves but helps in long run
