⚠️FLASH WARNING THE CAMERA MAKES THE STALL FLASH FAST REPEATEDLY !⚠️ Are the Vegan-Friendly Potato Twisters at Hull Fair Worth the Hype? 🎡 🥔🌪️ 📍Walton Street, Hull, HU3 6JU (Spring Bank End!) I went to Hull Fair last night, but unfortunately, I was sick after going on Ice Jet, so I didn’t have my usual HullGrubGuru appetite! If you ever feel insecure about having a bad stomach, don’t worry, one of your local Hull accounts does too, and isn’t ashamed! ☺️ I was well looked after though, and had an amazing time regardless. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Hull Fair for the fun of it rather than just to review, so I was really happy to experience the rides and games side of things again after so long! I wanted to make a comeback for my appetite, so I took a trip this afternoon to treat myself to something small and sweet, as well as something I’d been curious about! I’ve seen potato twisters over the last couple of years and was really intrigued to see if they’re worth the hype. 🌪️ They’re £4 for one or £7 for two, which I think is decent value for Hull Fair food, to be fair, and there are 14 flavours to choose from! Unfortunately, all the flavours are just seasonings sprinkled on top, I’d have loved the option to load the potato twister with melted cheese or something similar. But on the bright side, without the cheese, it’s vegan-friendly, we love to see inclusive Hull Fair food! ☺️ I went for the New York Pizza flavour! There were others such as garlic butter, peri peri, chip spice, cheese, and more, but I forgot to record them, sorry guys! There were 14 in total. That’s my fault for getting too excited after riding Big Ben 😂. The cheese flavouring reminded me of Quavers, but on a chip-like potato, which I thought was quite different. The potato itself had a nice crisp texture, though it lacked flavour at times, I like being able to taste the potato’s natural flavour and oils without relying too much on the extras. The further down the twister I got, the more flavour I could taste, so it seems the seasoning probably falls down the potato when it’s sprinkled on. I could also taste more of the bread-dough element of the pizza flavouring towards the bottom. Don’t get it TWISTED though had to include a pun before I finish typing this lololol, I enjoyed the novelty of having a twisted-shaped potato! Overall, 7/10. If you’re at Hull Fair, this is a good-value option if you’re buying for multiple people, and it’s a very social media friendly, photogenic item of food to capture for your memories! 🥔🌪️ #hull #hullcity #hullfair #hullfood #hullgrubguru
