Some people call them scalloped, some call them au gratin — but since these have cheese, we’re going with Au Gratin! you'll need 16 oz cheese 7 to 8 russet potatoes and a half pint of cream (you may not need it all) and one stuck of butter Ingredients & Directions: 🧈 Butter a 9x13 pan generously. 🥛 Add a thin layer of heavy cream with some fresh thyme (optional) to the bottom. 🥔 Peel 7–8 russet potatoes and slice thinly. ➕ Layer potatoes over the cream, overlapping slightly. 🧂 Season with garlic salt and pepper. 🧈 Grate about ⅓ stick of butter over the top. 🧀 Sprinkle with ¾ cup sharp cheddar cheese and more cream. Repeat layers as needed, ending with cheese and more thyme if using — then bake covered loosely for 30 minutes and then uncovered until tender bubbly, and golden perfection!! #potato #potatorecipe #cheesy #familyfavorite
