He turned around before the ball was released, he thought the ball was being thrown at him. He cant predict that the ball was being thrown high after he turned around.

2B steps on base, forced out, at that point Taylor is out of the play. But instead of ducking, side stepping, sliding, Taylor decides to jump, which is a deliberate motion to make oneself BIGGER, and not smaller. Therefore intentionally interfering with the play, which was successful, therefore double play ruled. I don’t write the rules.

naylor has a right to the running lane it's a third baseman turning the double play should of step out beyond bag and clear himself he would got hit if didn't jump . way less then taking the player out at second not being near the bag
