ppff! I had endometriosis. It rubbed on my kidneys and felt like labor pains. Leaving work was not an option. 🤭

I've had 4 spinal surgeries, several surgeries on my intestines and I still run circles around my adult child. I was taught to shake it off, buck up and go to work. This new generation has no idea

@AKay: I hear you, but I actually had giant cysts and endometriosis, and sometimes the pain was so severe that it truly knocked me off my feet. It wasn't just a cramp. It was like razor blades filleting my insides. So perhaps this gal is in a different situation. I feel for her. ❤

Us millennials are pretty tough too. But I’m elder millennial-raised by boomers. Have endometriosis and there’s days I had to push through! I remember when I was a teen and has awful cramps my mom said these wise words when I wanted to stay home. “Are you always gonna call out of work once a month?!” And that’s when I realized I gotta pony up and tough it out 😂 Millennials are the ones too who would party till 3 am and be at work by 8.

I’m not defending this particular case, but I’m glad Gen Z and millennials are now prioritizing not only their health but work/life balance. Signed a used up GenX who’s company will forget me before my funeral is over. and they will have my job posted on LinkedIn

The millennials aren’t the problem. It’s the ones after that… I’m just saying. I’m 30 and I’ve never called in to work. I worked until 40weeks pregnant. Even worked a full day the same day I was scheduled for induction. Started working for my grandma when I was 8 at her flea market. I am worried about Gen Z though…

I suffer from migraines. I watch little kids and still work with a migraine and mine make me sick to my stomach. We were raised to be tuff and work harder. We are definitely doomed when we retire.
