Dumbledore betrayed them all by not hunting down the horcruxes between the wars. He suspected they existed but waited for harry. He left harry to be abused rather than train him in his power. No dumbledore is the real villain here. Even Riddle was a victim

I can’t stop thinking about the theory that dumbledore is death and harry is a descendant of the peverell brothers. Specifically the third brother since james gave him the cloak of invisibility which dumbledore actually gifted to him. Dumbledore also gave the resurrection stone and owned the elder wand for a long while. Harry is the ready to die and greets dumbledore /death as an old friend before making his way back

Maturing is realizing dumbledore ISN'T a villain. The prophecy said harry is the only one who can kill voldemort. Dumbledore had to make hard sacrifices along the way to bring safety to muggle AND wizarding world. People who say dumbledore is villain completely ignore the politics of the world and the far reaching consequences of not making hard decisions while on the hunt for voldemort and only focus on relationships which are irrelevant.

Dumbledore mischaracterization will not be tolerated bruh. So many people get his characters wrong and assume he had bad intentions or actually raised Harry as a pig for slaughter. These kinds of people should read the end of the 5th book and the King's Cross chapter of deathly hallows. Dumbledore wasn't perfect and had flaws that led to him making some big mistakes, but he was ultimately good and just.

Dumbledore was serving the greater good. He knew what that meant & might no even have liked his actions but had to do what was necessary. If he guided Harry too much or got too close then it would’ve altered things. Life is hard. Sacrifices are hard. This isn’t supposed to be a happy story. It’s a story filed with pain, hardship & therefore truth. After all don’t forget Dumbledore also sacrificed himself.
