Here’s the thing, and I’m sorry if this hurts. BUT no matter how good or amazing the person makes you feel for however long it has been, sometimes people cannot grow together for their own personal reasons. I learned that no matter how much of yourself you give up, how much time you devote to this person. Gifts, birthdays, holidays… it can all change on a random day or the week, and for me I gave so much I didn’t even have myself to lean on, get help. Go to therapy. Do the things you did for them for yourself now. They chose to do the things they did to you and now what? DO THE THINGS YOUD DO FOR THEM FOR YOURSELF NOW. And that would be the best way to grow… time heals all is a cliche but it’s true, BUT it also requires work from you for you. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Remember they did to you what you wouldn’t do to them. Make them realize what they lost by becoming a version of yourself they cannot touch. Be kind to yourself guys. You got this!
