🙋♀️I’d like to hear more about what you are doing to help, oppose to just telling us what “we” need to do …. Ya know?! Would love to hear what your experience is like contacting the schools, or watching someone’s kids, volunteering, etc!!! That would be a better way to ‘promote’ community

This is the best thing I’ve ever heard you say. Even if the “nonsense” is figured out - there are always some who need help. Might be only for a week or 2 and not worth their time signing up. We ALL could do better. Especially coming into the holidays.

Also, don’t underestimate how far monetary donations to food pantries go! And let people know they can hit up every food pantry and mobile site - they’re not limited to 1.

100%. If everyone donates to their local town food bank it will make a huge difference! There are always places that specifically take baby items too! Formula, diapers, wipes etc!

I'm absolutely terrified. I just got approved because my hours are cut at work and. I can't work any more hours than I am. the assistance we do get barely makes a dent. I'm so scared.

20 million kids is mind blowing to me. I’m in Australia and that is a fair majority of our entire population across all ages. This is such an amazing call out from you and a great reminder no matter the country you live in. We can all do better for people less fortunate than us 💜

I have several times set out a free food box in front of my house. I live in a big city right on a major bus route so we get lots of foot traffic. I also have an autistic kid who likes to changer her comfort foods on a dime so I prefer to give away the extra food that will go bad before she wants to eat it again.
