Learning Arabic and French taught me this. Not even just the mouth movements but also air control is different

why go through that headache to change who you are and ur ancestry, be super proud of ur accent. We only use English to communicate nothing else.

An English friend told me “Portuguese people speak with their mouths closed” and a light bulb lit up in my brain, now my English is much better

When learning English I used to stand infront of a mirror and exaggerate my pronunciation til i got it right, I learned to move my mouth differently to be able to pronounce the words correctly!

Makes sense. Think about being an America but saying British phrases. Both are English words but we automatically use their accent too. So why not learn the accents for new languages too?

It’s actually insane how close I came to skipping The Forgotten Mindset Secrets by Charles Burgdoff ,I don’t even know what made me finally open it ,but within a few pages I realized this isn’t just another “mindset” book ,It feels like something that wasn’t meant to be found ,like a piece of knowledge that somehow slipped through the cracks and ended up in public hands ,There’s an almost forbidden energy in the way it’s written,as if you’re reading something that was never meant to be released.

Every time I speak Spanish, my mouth moves differently than my English upbringing. I thought this for years.

When you switching between the languages then you can fill muscle pain in neck and tongue. This probably makes sense, as every language is use different set of muscles.

This is helpful. I am going to use this bit of insight ESL class. Do you have a suggestion for vocal/mouth exercises that would help students practice and adapt to English mouth movements?
