@oriire: People hit me up all the time asking about spiritual medicines and they are often surprised by my response I tell them that while we do have medicines that can be taken in general for money attraction and all kinds of other things, our spiritual medicines that are most effective are used in conjunction with Ifá divination which takes into account what is an alignment with your Orí and in conjunction with the power of ẹbọ (sacrifice) We can look in the odù Ọ̀ṣẹ́ Túrá which I chanted here which speaks about someone who abandoned their Orí completely to worship àdó (the medicine gourd). None of their spiritual medicines were effective. Hence the proverb from this verse: Orí ni gbeni Àdó kìí gbeni Orí supports a person Àdó (the medicine gourd) does not support a person Once they began to venerate Orí, do Ifá divinations, ẹbọ, etc., their medicines were even more effective which is why at the end of the verse we say that Orí supports a person AND the medicine gourd also supports a person If we look at it from another lens, imagine just taking all sorts of vitamins hoping that they improve a particular condition you're struggling with. Yes taking vitamins in general is great, but if you don't ever actually go to the doctor and have test ran on you to see what the condition is you may never be addressing the actual problem. You may be taking magnesium everyday when you have a vitamin D deficiency. This is why Ifá divination helps us get to the root of what the exact problem is to tell us what is needed for you at that moment instead of just taking general medicines all the time. #ori #orisa #orisha #ifa #ebo
