I think the conversation is very nuanced. Yes society has beauty standards. Yes you get treated differently if you’re not deemed conventionally attracted. But the way she worded is negative self talk. I just want her to know that you can still have a fulfilling life. I just want her to find a community that truly appreciates her and her attributes.

I understand her point as well but the video gives off like she’s looking for pity when you need to have self respect to date. You can have standards while noting that compromise is needed when looking for companionship.

I’m glad you pointed out that there is always somebody who wants someone. Just like there will always be someone who doesn’t want someone no matter how gorgeous they are to other men. She has to date and love herself first because her mindset is going to have her seeking confirmation of her self perception. Thoughts become reality.
