Here's what you need to know: Available today for all ChatGPT subscribers (Mac only right now, PC coming soon). The big features: AI-native browsing: New tabs open straight to ChatGPT. Type a URL or just ask a question and get optimized search results Sidebar assistant: ChatGPT can read whatever's on your current page and all your open tabs Full search history indexing: Have conversations with your entire browsing history ChatGPT Anywhere: Highlight any text on the web and have ChatGPT rewrite it inline - this is a huge improvement over Perplexity Agent mode: Built into the browser OS, so it browses for you with way fewer hang-ups Perplexity Comet has been the gold standard of AI browsers for me so far, but OpenAI has put in a lot of the same features, and even improved on the functionality of where Comet was struggling.
