It’s not gender specific.. as a mother working thru not furthering the mother wound, parenting a boy and girl. My daughter has been most affected by my trauma but she’s also brought me the most healing in the sense that she is a reflection of what I experienced and I’m learning to listen to her voice, specifically in relation to my own wounds so that I can be the love for her that I wanted and needed at her age.. it’s creating healing. My daughter has felt rivalry with my son so desperately, his personality mirrors what I was led to suppress. I was teaching her the same suppression I was taught..
