I relate word for word.. especially those first days/weeks/months/years away from home.. felt so distopian.. the constant epiphanies and realizations that the life I grew up in wasn’t ok. I got married at 19 to get away from it, now I’m 31 raising my own child and having that same exact same wave of constant epiphanies and realizations all over again… it hurts more when becoming a mother yourself. It forces you to look at everything all over again in the perspective of a mother.. it hurts more. But Al hamdulilah for it all. May Allah swt grant us understanding, love and compassion within our families. Sending you love and hugs 🫂 🤍
