@myarfidlife: We saw this place Noon Ice bowl which is Korean shaved ice, known as bingsu. It’s a popular dessert featuring a base of shaved milk ice that has a fluffy, airy texture and melts in your mouth. It is topped with various ingredients like fruit, condensed milk, and whipped cream. We picked out the most basic one that used the ingredients that Hannah is familiar with. She asked to leave off the whipped cream, so this was only strawberries, the strawberry puree and the shaved ice. The fact that the milk base didn’t look like milk and was liquidy really helped. It looked like snow which was very helpful. But, the puréed strawberry caught her by surprise. It reminded her of all sorts of things and that was hard for her to challenge. Since it was a puree and not how she imagines strawberries to taste, they tasted “old” to her. I am so proud of the fact that she tried it even though it was pretty overwhelming and had a lot going on. I was also happy to hear her say she liked the base, even thought she knew it was made of frozen milk. I had to try it because it looked amazing to me, and it was delicious.
