I know most people are saying boys upstairs but I would give them the first room downstairs and you guys take the room upstairs. The reason being is as adults/parents you have to have a little privacy and you have to be able to lock and keep things like a small stash of money or whatever. Upstairs is more practical for that especially if people have to come in through the front room. That would mean if something of yours goes missing then it could have been anybody that came inside versus upstairs it wouldn’t. I know that’s how I would do it if it were me. My bedroom is straight off the living room and I used to take my 2 rings off and lay them just inside the bedroom door on my dresser. They were stolen from there. My wedding ring and a ruby ring I treasured. I still have the earrings and necklace that match the ruby ring but not the ring. I know who stole it but couldn’t prove it at the time I realized they were gone. It was my word against there’s and neither were very expensive but they were mine and they were irreplaceable to me.
