Mind blown. That explains why I could only see something through if someone told me I couldn’t do it- it would make me angry that they thought so little of my ability and although I wouldn’t show my anger, I would ‘show them’ and do it! My anger propelled me. But I would sabotage anything that I wanted to do for myself. Thank you!

Jon do you have a private practice? These talks are making so much sense . I’m so stuck . I was raised be a narcissist mother . Years ago I got sober and pulled away from her a little and started ti experience some self belief and began making things happen in my life . Then bang I got with a covert narcissist, had a baby and couldn’t shake him off for the life of me . I didn’t understand any of it and how broken I was until he left I had a nervous breakdown that was two years ago and I’m still so stuck . I’m binge eating constantly and have very little self care . Please 🙏 help .

Wow, this make sence… sometimes during healing i’ve screamed into my pillow, even though i didn’t know why… but i stopped myself years ago feeling anger, and that almost destroyed me. Cause i stopped expressing my feelings even when people expected me to speak up. And that is a really hard journey to start feeling, talking again, setting boundries again.
