No, God still remains omnipotent, and He's not limited, He's infinite, He's ever present. if you're a father biologically, you're sharing your life with your children, it's your attributes expressed for purpose of fellowshiping with them. now, God, it was in His thoughts to share eternity with His children, it was in him to display His agapao love (divine Love) to share that love which is unconditional, so he made Man in His own image to express His attributes here on earth. it's that which never had the beginning nor have the end, have no father nor mother, that's the life that in him, was his plan and still remains His plan to share with humanity, so that as He's eternal, you also live eternally, a life that has no any suffering, no Sin, no death, no hatred, no all of Satan. as he rules in heaven, he also wanted His sons, humans, to rule the earth, but that was interfered with by Satan when he brought the fall, but the same God came as human to bring back His son (Adam) who fell in the garden of Eden through His own blood in His body Jesus.

its your perception that is limited to his creation..when He said I am that I am..he was trying to tell us that He is who he is as sovereign as one who needs no other to exist..self existent one.
