I’m running a Curse of Strahd game and decided almost immediately that my “barovian” accent is just going to be my accent bc i tried to do a vaguely eastern-European accent like Dracula and it was SO BAD that I immediately bailed 😭

played a jaded 14 y/o rogue. first session i was so worried about speaking in-character that I ended up saying NOTHING in the first session until about the last 10 minutes in which he was hiding under a table, watched a cyborg get a knife to the eye and I decided to say "haha, migraines"

Honestly I've only been playing DnD for a few months but I need to get out my shell when it comes to the roleplay so much more. which is kinda ironic since I love acting. Anyway rn my DnD character is very like me but I'd like to play a character whose more confident and different at some point

The campaign I’m in right now has a character with an Australian accent, one with a southern accent, mine has an Irish accent, and the last one doesn’t have an accent but has a specific way of speaking, so we were all just waiting for someone to make the first move and break that ice

bro the first time I tried a French accent 😭 I was also playing two twins and one of them was Russian and the other French and GOD that was a nightmare... I didn't really rp the French one for the first few sessions bc I was so embarrassed abt those first damn words 💔
