Just a note that this wasn’t an accident. The Republicans have been working toward this level of stupidity for forty years. It started when Reagan’s FCC killed The Fairness Doctrine, opening the floodgates for fake infotainment to masquerade as news. They built a propaganda bubble of fear and resentment, selling outrage for profit while convincing viewers it was truth. It worked too well. They trained voters to believe lies, reject evidence, and treat politics like tribal entertainment. Then surprise!, a flimflam man who mastered their own tactics and stole control of their bubble voters. Add in The Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society to erode the SC and government institutions and voilà (chef’s kiss), purposeful monuments to our stupidity!
