@peace.love.poodles: *adding context- I have post op chiari malformation type 1, possible EDS, and this is my 4th round of losing one of my arms due to my neck disc problems. This ain’t my first rodeo, so to speak 🤣🤣 so here I feel like I am being denied treatment for a very obvious problem but maybe that’s just because I am the one experiencing it so vividly? I am in my 30s and he said I had normal arthritis. Normal neck arthritis for a healthy woman in her 30s. LOL #chiarimalformation #eds #pain
I reviewed my holster monitor results and I have a freaking LEAKY MITRAL VALVE! What do you mean the doctor didn't tell me? What do you mean my freaking HEART VALVE is leaking!? EXPLAIN!!!

Even crazier, the rad techs only report the bare minimum! Which is why a good doctor will read the images instead of the written report.

Always check your own paperwork. Why did *I* have to point out to my doctor that I was anemic and prediabetic after she said my blood work "looked good"!?!?

Hey! I totally get the sentiment here but as someone in medicine I just wanna say that radiology/lab results should be never be taken in isolation, these are radiological signs that are there, but on a sliding scale of severity and their meaning depends on clinical context. (contrary to what ChatGPT will tell you). The “impression” at the bottom is the combined analysis of all the findings and should be trusted over individual radiological signs listed. I completely get how frustrating it is but I hope that makes sense and maybe explains why surgery is not indicated in your case.

I had a CT scan to check for kidney stones and it came back that I apparently have an ovarian cyst but it's okay because it "has shrunk"
I would like to know how they know it has shrunk because my last CT was over a year ago and I did not in fact have a cyst during that one (and litterally no way to know I had a cyst until this CT since I did no ultrasound or other test that could show it) 😂

Book an appt with a neurosurgeon asap and take a copy of the images with you. My report looked just like yours. I'm 3 years out fr ACDF c4-5,5-6 and I have my life back and full use of my arms (before surgery I had numbness, radiculopathy, and random loss of use of my hands)

Isn’t that what they say when they want to sweep you out the door. Once a doctor refused to take my appt. I was 5 mins late (never been there before and I had to park on the 12th floor of the lot) just so he could keep his schedule. It’s just not about patients when they are so use to behaving like this

All this to say, small cysts are a normal and healthy part of the menstruation cycle. If they’re painful, overly numerous, filled with things they shouldn’t be, or your cycle has changed significantly, those are your red flags for abnormal cysts that might need care 💜

I've had similar drs experiences. My most recent was them testing my hormone levels and going "eh, they're a bit low but depending on your cycle they're probably fine" and I had to remind them the reason they were testing in the first place was because I hadn't had a period in the last SEVEN YEARS

I was just in the ER like 3 weeks ago and when they finished all of the imaging they just told me "oh it's probably just gastritis or MAYBE an ulcer" I have endometriosis and they totally pushed it aside. turns out I have a ton of cysts on my right ovary and my uterus is starting to drift to the right side of my body, and I have an enlarged spleen AND a gallbladder polyp. I just went to the gastroenterologist for a follow-up and found out I lost 28 pounds between the ER visit and the appointment so.... safe to say the gastroenterologist took me more seriously 😭

Ummm… you need a different doctor girl… 🫣 like a neurosurgeon 🫣 also thoracic outlet syndrome is also something to check out but based off your spine it’s probably coming from that 🫣☹️🫶🏼

We moved from the Netherlands to Sweden an I have an appointment for my son in the hospital here. I was going trough the paperwork and I saw they are rightaway doing an echo. I immediately called my husband because I was totally flabbergasted! We went for years to the hospital in Holland and never once did they do an echo.

OMG SAME! You have osteoarthritis!! me too.. I dont think doctors even understand what the reports mean cause the time i get told its 'normal' only for nothing to change, ask for another scan and its typed differently and is worse the 3rd and 4th time 🤦♀

I got a pathology report back for biopsies from an endoscopy. Two were fine, one showed I have scar tissue building up underneath the skin from, the other suggest I had some kind of damage or open wound. One of the ones that was fine mentioned inactive gastritis. Got a report days later saying the endoscopy was fine and waiting on the pathology report. That I got days before.
