the strad is more piercy and brighter. while the guaneri is richer, more mellow, gentle but powerful, and tone similar to that of a viola. personally, i like the guaneri better.

It’s the way each play, Brett uses more bow speed when playing and eddy uses more pressure, and the stead I built better for bow speed, and guanero is better with tones of pressure

Going back to what Benny said a long time ago, eddys playing style does fit a guaneri’s sound better. And his control of the weight comes through a lot more clearly And Brett can draw sound out of the strad with faster bow speed and agility.
