5 TIPS FOR TRAINING FOR HALF MARATHON from a beginner like myself. 😉🏃🏻♀️🤭 Part 1 (follow for part two)⬇️⬇️⬇️ LONG RUN DAYS = CARB UP whether you are running earlier in the morning or later in the day make sure you are carving up the day before or the morning of & pack up some gel packs for anything longer than 5 miles!!! FOCUS ON PACE = rather than constantly thinking about how long we’re gonna be running for work on a pace that will allow you to get to the endgame. So dont pace yourself to quickly, find a pace that’ll be consistent all the way through. AFTER MILE 5 IS 98% MENTAL = we all have that mile road block, whether it’s mile 3 or 5. But just remember it’s mental and your body is 100% capable of finishing. So stay positive!!!! SAVE PODCASTS FOR RUN DAYS = there is no worse feeling than waking up on your run day and realizing you have nothing to listen to on your run. DOCUMENT PROGRESS = document your progress or follow training program you can’t just go out there and run. You need to be keeping track of pace, and small PRs.
