As a teacher with 14 years experience please for the love of god parents don’t listen to this Dr. Spock wannabe bullshit. Just talk to kids with respect and be real with them. Tell them no and give them consequences and explain why the answer is no, it’s not that hard

My mom always said what ever the last word you say, that’s what the kid is going to hear. So “stop yelling”, “don’t run” doesn’t work as well as “speak softer”, “please walk”. She taught preschool for years.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have told my nine-year-old can we not run through the house please do you mind walking through the home instead of running don’t run in my home that’s use slow feet. I finally gave up about 1000 times of trying to get this child not to run in my home and that’s just one example.
