@nyxtome: One of my favorite games ever😭🙏 I don’t really get why people say the story doesn’t make sense though, or it’s bad. I’ve only played one Ninja Gaiden game which was Ninja Gaiden black from earlier this year. And I was still deeply invested into the actual narrative of this game 😭 The characters are fire!! Ryu, Yakumo, Saeori, Tyran, Misaki, Kagachi, and even Umi had personality. They were all distinguishable and reading the characters bios adds more characterization as well. The Raven clan in itself is a fire concept. I loved the progression of Yakumo realizing his role as a raven clan member is way bigger than just being in the Hyabusa clan shadows. His lineage/blood was the only way to defeat the dark dragon for good, and while Ryu role was short, it wasn’t insignificant. His relationship with Saeori was great, I loved the fact that she entrusted Ryu with the dark dragon jewel then ultimately, Ryu entrusting it to Yakumo. It makes the fight between them tense but also satisfying when you win because, you win ryu’s respect. The combat is 10/10, the bosses are PERFECT! I love the fact you’re able to combo all them and even juggle some of them too. My biggest gripe with something like DMC5 is that the bosses are typically less fun that the regular mobs because you can’t combo them into oblivion. This game doesn’t have that issue even the last fight of the game with the dark dragon could’ve been some mid had they not cooked with his 2nd phase. I was never bored while playing and I’m excited to keep playing because the post game content is fire as well😭 The cutscenes are so good too, every shot was cinematic i genuinely couldn’t believe the amount of effort behind the story for this game. Not to mention PHOTOMODE!! If your game has a photo mode, you already get +10 points icl. The training was a great addition, I spent maybe 2 hours just learning the combos, around chapter 5-6. That skill jump was so insane I got hooked into the game. I record a lot of my time playing because I like seeing my improvement from when I first started until the end, and this footage for the Tik tok put a big ol smile on my face man😹 amazing game my 2nd favorite this year behind expedition 33.
