Even though rerir is at fault for what he had done, I'm not sure If he had any choice to do it, because there was a sequence, where Rerir talked to his colleque about his work and why they "had" to do it. Unfortunately it wasn't told, what would happen, If they didn't follow orders, Like: physical/mental punishment/torture? Death of Loved one/one self?? both? Maybe because Rerir was an Orphan, they were treated like assassins since childhood and brainwashed? Like I Said, of course Rerir is a sinner and for good reasons He was punished, but the king was at fault at Most and he's brutal, since he literally blinded Ved, a seer and threw him in the cage for a simply warning. I wonder, If we're going to see the King later, maybe as a Boss Fight.
