You forgot to mention the weirdest part. Teams places 7th and 8th(1st and second in playout) face each other off in a single match. Then the winner plays the 3rd place for the chance to play in the Conference league next season while 4th, 5th, 6th places get nothing.

Oh no, I despise the idea of getti g rid of the pre-playoff stats. This and halving the points makes the 1st bit unimportant in a way - if you beat a team twice during regular season but lose to them twice during the playoffs, you're down 3 points and that's insane
