@pbsantangelohome: Greetings, I am Dr. Plague, a relic from the darkest days of the Black death. I first appeared in the 14th century Italy, called upon to comfort the relentless tide of the plague that swept through Europe. My ominous cloak, gloves, and birdlike mask might seem frightening, but my purpose was to bring help-or at least comfort-to the afflicted. The mask, you see, stuffed with herbs and spices, was meant to protect me from the "miasma" -the foul air we once thought carried the disease. Though my treatments were often futile, I tried to ease the suffering of those plagued by fever, blackened limbs, and painful swellings. Now, I am a reminder of history -a symbol of fear, mystery, and enduring fight against illness. Though my tools may have been primitive, my presence meant hope for those caught in death's shadow.
