I adopted a tuxedo cat after his previous owner passed. it took him over a year to seem like he was actually happy again. he was always looking for someone that wasnt there.

We have this belief in our community that whenever someone dies and that person left behind a pet, the pet most likely to follow its owner. It happens to my friend’s father. The father had this cat that he cherished so much like his own child. Then a week after the father died, the cat died too all of the sudden. I think pets become depressed when their owners die. They miss them terribly and that’s probably lead to death. I don’t wish that thing to happen to this poor cat though as I believe this cat deserves all the happiness. I hope the next owner will treat this cat well 🥹❤
