Love your brain so much. I didn’t set out to date, but I reconnected with someone who I had the most massive crush on at 13. He was 10 years older so no dice. Fast forward about 40 years, we found each other again and I’ve never been more treasured, protected, or felt this safe. And this special. I always wanted a man who looked at me like I was buried treasure. When they really like you, you can see it in the way they look at you, plus actions. He looks at me not like treasure, but as if I’m the last diamond to be mined on earth. It’s slow by my request, but so full of hope and promise. I might’ve just found the love of my life. He’s already in. And after 20 years of an abusive marriage, and him still coming for me hard after leaving 6 mo ago, having someone who supports me in everything that means something to me and someone who never judges me and has never even raised his voice, despite an argument, is so incredibly healing. You’re absolutely right. The right person can bring about major growth and change and healing. The right ones add value to your life. The wrong ones steal it.

We DO eventually grow tired of being their karmic mirror. We DO eventually learn to give ourselves the love we so freely gave to them and once we get used to doing that....nobody is attractive anymore. Maybe that will remain until we stumble across another resonating in that same, healed, self love, self trust, balanced frequency. I'll let you know if I spot one; but I don't even look for that anymore. 😉
