@8tracktape: One of your favorites from the 70s/80s, Chloé by Lagerfeld! Released in 1975, crazy to think this was released around the time Halston was. Its drydown is very nice! Not harsh at all!! Well balanced and formulated scent! Didn’t smell dull or sour at all despite being a vintage bottle too!! I hope I was able to describe it accurately!! I don’t think they make this anymore so it feels like one of those rare scents I have where every spray is a few dollars 🤣🤣. It’s a cute bottle and not an offensive scent so if you see it in the wild, make sure you grab it! “It’s a scent from the 70s, this isn’t 1980s related at all” perfumes can take years to trend, one of the most popular scents right now, Baccarat Rogue, was made in the 2010s. Fragrances can be worn for decades and vintage scents like L’Effleur - It was released in 1907. It was a trend in the late 80s when they rereleased it and so many people remember and wore it. That is how 1907 is the 1980s. These things don’t exist in a vacuum and pop culture is all over the place, many people were wearing older scents in the 80s but to them they smell it and it takes them back to middle school in 1980 and high school in 1985. Fragrance doesn’t follow years, it follows experience. By smelling these scents I’m not chasing the year but the experiences people had with them. So many of these scents were ones people wore on dates or stole a few sprits from a family member. So many memories are attached to these scents and smelling them can transport you. It’s very interesting getting to learn about the past though your experiences of these vintage scents I have and I love discussing and discovering more scents with you all! ❤️ I wanted to explain the most obvious thing here because I do get comments like “those aren’t even 80s scents” but they were still relevant and popular in the 80s making them an 80s thing. I hate the idea that 80s is only stuff made in the 1980s and not anything else from the 70s or the 60s or 50s. #1980s #80s #perfume #genx #1970s

Have you tried KL ( Karl Lagerfeld)for women from the 80s? It was my moms signature scent.

This was my first fragrance when I was 13/14. It was too ‘old’ for me then - just ordered a vintage miniature to test it now to see what I think now. So lovely to see hiw exited you are w perfumes 😊💗

Try Quelques Fleurs l'Original Houbigant if you can find it . It’s what Princess Dianna wore on her wedding day. It’s lovely
