@kindergartenthoughts: The bottle seems more predictable to baby so he loves it. We are breastfeeding and pumping one bottle per day. #pumpingmom #bottlefedbabies #bottlevsbreast #breastfeedingjourney
so some babies prefer the bottle because it is faster. however the increased burping and spit up and the fact that its in the morning makes me think that the let down is too strong. you could try pumping or expressing in the morning before breastfeeding to see if that helps

Try leaning back if possible during the day

babies perfer bottles because it’s easier to get milk and requires less effort. look into pace feeding.

My kids all preferred the bottle, bf was frustrating for both of us so it was a relief to let go of this idea that I HAD to bf and just let them have a bottle

This will be so helpful for babysitting! Hope he continues to like both. He’s only three months so maybe he is still learning to manage the flow of bf

Consider getting the slowest nipple flow! He might be frustrated if your let down is really intense. Some moms pump a little first and then nurse. 🤷♀

You might find a myofunctional therapist eval helpful if you’re thinking he might lack the muscle strength and coordination to br3ast feed. Some bottles are wider and flatter than the real deal which make babies prefer the bottles because they don’t have to work as hard. Esp since you had problems latching at the beginning.

You’ve already surpassed what I could tolerate for breastfeeding. 3 weeks and the cluster feeds wrecked me! It was just as easy to make a bottle for him and he was fuller longer. I think you probably just have too much letdown like others have commented. I would pump a bit first then feed him.
