Yes! I started running trying to lose weight (I’ve lost 5 stone) and even in training I had guilt about fuelling properly for runs. I tried carb loading 48 hours before HM and felt disgusting and bloated and guilty and awful. I still find it so hard to get my head around the fact food is fuel and is needed for good runs. I gained 8lb in HM marathon training. Need to lose it now!

Just remember you aren’t trying to increase overall calories. Just increasing the % carb intake.

carbo loading is a terrible idea. There's no need to do anything different before a marathon than your long runs.
loading only works after a depletion phase and its a very trick process to execute correctly so isnt worth the risk/reward ratio.

Deep breathe. You’re not loading you’re just fueling your body to do something intense and that’s okay. And don’t push yourself into feeling uncomfortable either we all carb fuel differently and have different carb needs ❤
