My husband had a massive stroke at 46 due to the stress of caring for his mother with dementia. He is paralyzed and lost his ability to speak. Thankfully his mom was too far gone to know what happened to him. He was her golden child. 😂😂

I so agree with you. As a hospice nurse, I have many patients who have Alzheimer’s/dementia and I really feel for the caregivers with them. It really drains the caregivers. We have to honor the caregivers and send them great light and love.

You’re VERY THOUGHTFUL for noticing your aunts wellbeing taking care of her mother… it’s incredibly difficult and it’s so easy for the caregivers health to decline bc you at some point lose yourself bc it’s exhausting taking care of loved one.

You have an important role objectivity helps support is essential.Managed my mother’s care for 25 years. Added on to the house. Staying on top and watching out for her. She was over medicated but overcame and got semi independent until dementia over took her.
