My ex did this. I know he genuinely wanted to be the best version for me but when the promotion didn’t happen. He found someone else and dumped me. Claimed I had a bad attitude. But I truly believe he just didn’t feel like he was enough for me.

Omg.. well that hit a note.. been dating six months. Got a better job, quit going out with the boys as much, “I’d rather stay home and focus on me”, starting hitting the gym, eating better. And he verbalizes it all.. “I hit them gym today” “today is leg day” I’ve lost 7 lbs so far.. 🥰

That’s my problem I am fit and at gym 4 days a week and the men my age that are interested in me are so out of shape yikes 😬 they look old nasty beards etc uggg but of course the very few men I would be interested in don’t respond or reach out 🤦♀️total lost cause at this point but I am not lowering my standards in fact I am raising my bar even higher!! I noticed this as well! just started talking to a guy who says he's cutting out meat and asked if he can jog with me in the park. meanwhile, at first glance he didn't look like someone who was overly concerned about fitness...which actually made me wonder if we would be compatible at all. He was probably thinking the same thing, so he's switching it up! 💯

I started dating him exactly when he baught a new house. He is building a gym in his basement and updates me, but we also forgo time together bc he only gets together once a week bc he’s so preoccupied. So I guess he’s doing this but it’s 3 months.
