I know a WIC cart by the items, & it's at risk too. WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) provides 'checks' for very specific items or amounts of food.

when I was on SNAP it equalled out to about $1.50 per a person, per a meal. I was getting the maximum benefits for a family of five. dinner for the whole family $7.50. Nobody is living like a king on snap.

I hate how we were raised with the propaganda around poor. Oh they're homeless they must be on drugs or a drunk, or oh ebt theyre lazy and on welfare. I know so many of us who had ebt but would lie because we didn't want the shame we heard instead of standing up for those people. Now we have this and I think it really stems from the stereotypes from the 90s and before

You know who buys all kinds of stuff in my area and takes advantage of people by doing it. The local church’s. They get tax exempt cards so they buy whatever they want with donated money and don’t pay taxes on it.
