I think y'all are forgetting his kid has diabetes type 1 and at such a young age its constant monitoring and you need the insulin refrigerated all the time

Even if you’re coparenting you’re still a single parent. Yes traveling with a child when you don’t travel often anyway is a CHORE. Megan was mad he has to work and can’t trot around the world with her whenever she wants.

traveling with a young diabetic child is A LOT more complicated than just traveling with kids. Beyond all the medical supplies that you have to bring, it's also figuring out the carbs so you can give insulin (and food packaging will be in a different language), the lifestyle changes (like walking more than you would at home or eating different foods) makes calculating the insulin different and can lead to more low and high blood sugars, etc.

My mom alwaysssss told me marry someone of the same “social class” bc it can lay the foundation for resentment and unmet expectations if one person has substantially more money. I didn’t listen to her lol but I should have. I married someone who grew up really poor and he hated that my parents could and would help us financially. Also dated people who came from a wealthy family and frankly I just couldn’t keep up with all the things they were doing without feeling like I was becoming a charity case. Ladies, please be mindful of the impact of finances when you date!!!!

Not all kids are the same and if you’re not traveling with them regularly since they were really little it CAN be hell. Also, a fancy wedding in Italy isn’t like going to Disney.

he is a parent of a child with a serious disability. t1d is a round the clock job my kid is 10 and does alot of her own stuff but I am still up most nights and running to and from her school. his is 6 so he is basically an acting pancreas for his child all day and night long. also flying with diabetic devices is very difficult.

As a mom of a 6 year old. We’ve been traveling to Brazil with my 6 year old with MANY ALLERGIES since she was 11 months old. On a yearly basis. It’s not a chore. She’s honestly the best. I get he’s got type 1 diabetes and allergies are easier but I understand limitations and the needing of medications and certain foods. They let you take it on the plane. They let you take in different milks. Etc.

Literally traveled with my 5 year old to Phuket, Bangkok, phi phi islands, Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan, Singapore, Cozumel, Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Bonaire, Aruba, Curacao, Caymans Islands… by myself. 🤣

His child needs to hooked up to machines when he is sleeping. Taking his child with diabetes anywhere would definitely be a chore. His child has special needs that other kids don’t need.

travelling with kids IS a chore. she wants to go to places like aspen at the drop of a half but with a five year old you have to not only deal with getting them there which IS a chore, but he has to make plans with his teacher on any missed school. once you get there you have to find excursions when you get there that are kid friendly, or if not find a daycare that’ll take them for the day but that defeats the point of the vacation with him. you can’t have date nights and you can’t do spontaneous things like go to wineries and skiing and stuff because you have to think of your KID. it’s very different than what she clearly wanted to do. not to mention luca is a child and needs routine and one with t1 diabetes so dropping and going on vacation at the drop of a pin isn’t fesable. not to mention he CO parents. if he wants to take luca on one of sparkle megan’s drops what if it co-incides with his baby mommas time??? it’s a LOTTTTT of work and a lot more than people are realizing. he was 100% in the right
