It's even worse, the F-14's only operators were the US and Iran, who the US sold them to so they'd have the upper hand against Iraq. After a US-backed coup turned anti-US, the US began destroying near all its remaining Tomcats with the last remaining Tomcats in Iranian service for decades. Earlier this year the last two were destroyed by an Israeli airstrike, finally closing the book on the Tomcat.
