Boats overturned without warning. No one dared cross the lake after sunset. The Arrival of Priest Mangan One day, a brave Buddhist monk named Mangan Shōnin arrived in Hakone. He vowed to stop the dragon’s terror and bring peace to the region. Mangan meditated beside the lake for many days. Finally, he confronted the dragon in a fierce spiritual battle.
