Is it not required to graduate school to join the military? In Canada you have to have a high school diploma BEFORE joining

I had a little old German lady as a physics teacher. The class didn't really get along with her, and tended to give her a hard time almost every single day. She invited the recruiter in to talk about how they use physics on ships. He spent the entire time trying to recruit us. The teacher tried to direct him back to physics, but he would always segway back to enlisting. Then, one girl said she wanted to be a doctor or a nurse. The recruiter laughed and told her that wasn't going to happen. The teacher stood up so fast and got in his face yelling, and pushed him out the door. From that day on, the students loved her. Also, that girl is indeed an RN.

Joining the army was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life it paid for my college and I’m 100% disabled and I get money for life. I see no issue with this.

Then there’s Oklahoma where our governor is "thinking about" making it a requirement that high school students have an acceptance offer for a college, trade school or the military in order to graduate. 😩

My high school had jrotc for the most direct pipeline to the military. I knew kids who’d call the instructor if they got in trouble cause they’d make certain charges disappear so the kids could enlist at 18.

They pulled me out of class in the middle of class to interview & recruit, took down my info & never heard back from them, was a very weird experience & didn't happen to anyone else in the AP/IB classes so I was very confused.

It's EXTRA telling I and other vets are never allowed to talk to these same kids about all our 💀 friends 😒 almost like they know no one would go if they had to hear the stats associated w/ vets 😃
