@northernomad_unofficial: Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve has a large dam called Lawers Dam, which was built in 1951-1956 as part of the Breadalbane Hydro-Electric Scheme. The dam is a massive buttress-type structure that measures 344 meters in length and 42 meters in height. It is an important part of the landscape and was constructed alongside the development of the area for electricity generation.   #Scotland #scottishscenery #freedome #highlands #discoverscotland
