I think the bourgeois class has used reforms in the welfare state ect to periodically quell the discontent of the masses and prolonging the lifespan of capitalism. This seems to have pushed revolutionary ideas/sentiment deeper into the realm of fantasy (insert mark fisher quote)

capitalism didn't lead to communism in the USSR! it was state capitalism with some socialistic policies. communism has never existed anywhere in the world, yet. at least, the means of production must be owned by the workers and in none of the "communistic" world was that the case

Capitalism adopts and integrates its own critique, which quiets resistance. It’s more efficient to keep the working class at the heart of the empire pacified one degree above subsistence so that people think it’s their own fault they haven’t found success. Meritocracy is the new aristocracy in the scientific age because you can’t really get away with the divine right. Instead we damage self esteem by blaming the work ethic and effort, which is just as effective in crushing the capacity for resistance (though you can still see the imprint of birthright aristocracy in white supremacy and christian nationalism).

Maybe I’m wrong, but Marx’s description of revolution and its necessity seems to leave out human agency- suffering is necessary for revolution, but not sufficient. Imagination also seems to be necessary but not sufficient in itself. Struggle implies suffering, but it also implies agency, which is dependent upon imagination.

U should continue on the education path, check out the likes of Radhika Desai to understand why capitalism has survived revolution so far - it was because capital implemented socialistic reforms to calm down the masses, and break monopolies. But as Marx noted, monopolies always coalesce under capitalism and they then usurp power for greater exploration, leading to greater impoverishment and social degradation, exacerbating inequality. These contradiction can only be resolved thru bringing down the system...it's coming.

Marxism is a guideline and a foundation to critique capitalism. He had to realign people's way of thinking more so than having a super correct political ideology. He also said capitalism had its place too, as it was a necessary step but we've out grown capitalism, some think neo liberalism (the root of modern evil) is the next step.... Which is the problem 😂😂😂
