so your solution for a divided south is guilting the talented POC from embedding in their communities and improving the south from within. That's why the south is as backwards as it is. the only way to break the cycle of an echo chamber is to raise enough voices to drown out the ghosts of the oppressors. I went to both a PWI and HBCU in MS and Im a public servant in MS and I have witnessed first hand the power my voice can have in effecting actual change in my state. MS isn't perfect but the MS my children are raised in will be a far more loving and kind place than the MS that raised my grandfather and that's bc of the change we've brought about in our communities. Fights are meant to be won What you're describing sounds a lot like cowardice

Part of the reason the SEC desegregated was because the big 8 (especially Oklahoma and Nebraska) DOMINATED the SEC as they had desegregated programs.

They shouldn’t decline these offer though they should keep taking advantage of it. SEC one of the best conferences and gives them an incredible shot at getting to the NFL and making a great life.

Missouri was a divided State in the civil war- pro confederate gov. Kansas universities refused educated blacks from the south and Missouri as Missouri old not allow them in their schools
