@morganhollingsworth: New (water)phone, who dis? For my Irish musical, I kept envisioning the goddess narrator, The Morrígan, playing the waterphone forebodingly as she inspired the other characters into action. So I decided to get one and try it out! This weird instrument is obviously very popular for horror movies and soundtracks, and while it’s certainly not a standard instrument in Irish music I thought it would add a nice organic layer of intensity to this musical. Is the bow meant to be that tight!!? I play violin and unless you play with a baroque bow, they should never be tightened that much. But violin may be different than this instrument. I’m coming from a place of concern that’s all.
